There is a timetable posted at each bus stop with the name of the destination stop (which could be the final stop).
(※If you don’t know where a particular bus is heading to, try asking the bus driver.)
A: Pay the fare when getting on the bus (IC card is convenient to do this !)
B: Some buses make you pay the fare when you get off the bus.
→When getting on such a bus, take a numbered card from an automatic machine when you get on the bus.
→When you get off the bus, show the numbered card to the bus driver and pay the appropriate fare.
※If you carry an IC card with you, you can place the card in front of the reader when you get on and off the bus.
★When you get on the bus★
①The next bus stop name is announced over the speaker and displayed on an electric signboard at the upperleft side of the bus driver seat.
②When you push a button nearby, a female voice saying, “Tsugi, tomarimasu (will make a stop at the next bus stop)” is broadcasted over the speaker.
③Get off the bus when it comes to a stop.
※Using Suica (and other similar transportation IC card) offers a small discounted fare.
※When you pay cash, don’t insert 1 yen coin, because it is not accepted and is non-returnable.
