Japan has 4 seasons. Unless you are used to the changes in hot and cold weathers, you may become ill.
If you don’t feel well, go to the hospital as soon as you can.
Look for hospitals in the area of your residence beforehand.
※If you have National Health Insurance card, burden of your payment is only 30% of the bill.
★When you go to a hospital★
①Submit National Health Insurance card to the receptionist. Simply describe your condition.
(※You will need to fill in the medical record sheet for the first visit.)
②Wait in the waiting area until your name is called.
③When your name is called, go to the designated doctor’s room.
④Tell the doctor symptoms, when those symptoms started, any medication you are currently taking.
(※The doctor will examine your chest and back using a stethoscope so go to the hospital in easy-to-take-off clothing.)
⑤After doctor’s examination, wait at in front of the receptionist.
⑥Receive a receipt and prescription from the receptionist.
(※If you receive a prescription, go to the nearest prescription pharmacy.)
★Prescription Pharmacy★
①Submit prescription and medication handbook at the reception.
(※Fill in the medical record sheet for the first time. If you don’t have medical handbook, tell that to the receptionist.)
②Wait until your name is called.
③When the pharmacist calls your name, listen to his/her explanation of the medication and make a payment.
(※Be sure to ask for detailed information like when to drink it.)
